Shane Warne: ऑस्ट्रेलिया के दिग्गज क्रिकेटर शेन वॉर्न का 52 साल की उम्र में दिल का दौरा पड़ने से निधन हो गया है। वार्न के प्रबंधन ने शनिवार (एईडीटी) के शुरुआती घंटों में एक संक्षिप्त बयान जारी किया, कि उनका थाईलैंड के कोह समुई में एक संदिग्ध दिल का दौरा पड़ने से निधन हो गया। बयान में कहा गया है, शेन अपने विला में अनुत्तरदायी पाए गए और चिकित्सा कर्मचारियों के सर्वोत्तम प्रयासों के बावजूद, उन्हें पुनर्जीवित नहीं किया जा सका। परिवार इस समय गोपनीयता का अनुरोध करता है और नियत समय में और विवरण प्रदान करेगा।
ऑस्ट्रेलिया क्रिकेट टीम के पूर्व स्पिन गेंदबाज शेन वार्न का हार्ट अटैक से निधन हो गया है। इस खबर के आते ही क्रिकेट जगत में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है। वार्न के अलावा ऑस्ट्रेलिया के ही पूर्व खिलाड़ी रॉड मार्श का भी आज ही निधन हुआ है। वार्न टेस्ट क्रिकेट में दुनिया के दूसरे सबसे अधिक 708 विकेट लेने वाले गेंदबाज रहे हैं।
वह ऑस्ट्रेलिया के लिए 145 टेस्ट और 194 वनडे में नेतृत्व किया था। इसके अलावा इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग में वह 55 मैच खेले थे। उनकी कप्तानी में राजस्थान रॉयल्स की टीम ने आईपीएल के पहले सीजन का खिताब अपने नाम किया था।
